This morning before we caught the taxi to Gare De Lyon, we had a walk back to the Eiffel Tower and along the seine for our last time in Paris, this morning only 9ish the que is out of control. Arrived at the station half an hour early, it is huge, found our train. This is the speed it got to- 
Its so smooth, just feels like your about to take off! It’s a pretty nice way to travel, we saw beautiful country side, rivers with the big long cruise boats, wineries ect. We arrived in nice a bit later than expected due to an accident on the line. We then found our apartment 2 blocks behind the Negresco hotel, which is simply gorgeous, really old with character , a carnival theme. Here’s some photos of the apartment on the top floor- 
I found this bob on airbnb, Emmanuel is the owner, she is such a lovely host, first night she booked a restaurant for us in the back streets, local kind of place. The food was so good, we tried the Socca, which Nice is known for ( sorry Nick-yep took photos) – 
The name of the restaurant is L’alalier, it’s fantastic, photo above is the chef owner, and Emmanuel the girl that owns our bnb. Meet some really nice locals sitting beside us, happen to do home swaps, so might come back yay! so that was night 1 in Nice late one again.
