Santorini – this morning Peter and I went for a walk towards Oia and checked out a few of the other hotels to stay at next time! Mid morning the five of us went for a walk into Fira, as the shopping is full on hectic here we found a lovely little Aussie bar overlooking the sea to sit the boys in!,
the TROPICAL bar- inside joke, happy boys footy on, hot bar girl what more could they ask for.Kirstie and Peter needed some work done on their feet so_ Shopping unsuccessful walked back to our Villa- few shots on the way home-
for a swim and chill for a bit till the next Sunset adventure. Our new friend Allison from Aegan Designs recommended to us Dimitris, was booked for 6/30pm, boys not impressed at the early booking, reluctantly hoped in the Taxi to Ammoudi bay. As we had not been there or really didn’t know what to expect, we rounded the corner to Wow,
a small fishing villagesurrounded by seafood restaurants. Dimitris was at the very end of them, we arrived right on sunset, which was beautiful again! We had a really nice fresh seafood dinner here and met a really nice family of mum with her kids on a divorce celebration holiday, from America, they showed us some amazing holiday photos from Athens, to put on the list. Another great day in Santorini.

Another slow start due to too much Santorini Red wine, and the Byrne’s found the local Greek bakery, and presented us for breakfast on our balcony overlooking the Caldera sea beautiful fresh filo pastries! After breakfast we went on an adventure on the local buses to Kamari to the beach for the day. The bus trip has to be experienced, you cannot be well mannered on these buses, it’s all for one only. Peter thought he would do the right thing and help a young couple out with their pram, not a thank you nothing. They pack the bus to no standing room before they take off, if your stop comes up you barge through as quickly as you can and smash anyone in the way. Kamari beach was worth the visit, it’s kinda like the Noosa of Santorini, beautiful resorts all along the beach, with restaurant’s lining the beach all trying to lure you in with free beach lounges. We went to the first one we came across which worked out well, til we where all craving the local Gyros at 2 euro each, delicious the five of us sat there by the beach stuffing our faces yumo! We then walked the beach til the end beach bar near the cliff, where Peter and Ged found some new friends who wanted us to party with them at Zorbas later on, sorry off to see the sunset at Oia! The bar had a pretty en ool vibe playing very loud music. Kirstie, Jo and I chilled on the lounges on the beach while the boys chatted. Back to the local bus experience home, pretty funny we where all getting on when the conductor yells out Bus is full, slams the door leaving people with partners on the street, the bus is not full wtf oh well we are in Greece nothing makes any sense. At least the five of us made it on together up to Oias for the sunset experience with another six ships passengers thinking the same thing, as the five of usc are crowd phobic we ran to the nearest rooftop bar to escape. We lucked up again found the Sunset Bar and had an amazing position looking over the sea, beautiful! We where watching the crowds running through under us, it was like a seen from the running of the bulls, we are sticking tonight with our Villa for the sunset! Another great day in Santorini, from everywhere you walk along the cliffs it’s another gorgeous site one after another. Come back here in a heart beat. Note to Tony Stama still cannot beat your mums Dolmades trying but she is the queen.
