We’re coming back here, fantastic day to Krka National park. We arrived in Split with no plans, so after breakfast Peter and I walked off the ship and bumped into a tour guide that offered us a trip to Krka National Park and enough time after to look around Split at the end of the day. We went off to have a coffee and free wifi to decide if we wanted to go on the tour. We tried to contact Jane, Rowan, Fiona and Pete to no avail, so we thought let’s go anyway. So we went back to our new friend asked if he still had room and he said yes, he has six more people. I’m standing there asking him if these other people are not to old, when our new friend Paula runs up laughing telling us they are the other six, yay we all had an awesome day. The Krka National park is picture postcard material. Water falls absolutely every where especially due to so much rain they have had! The trip to the National park was about an hours drive from Split, as in true European style fast fast and faster, Avis and I where discussing how our kids are ever going to know where to find us. We where given a bit of a tour at the start of the waterfalls as to what life used to be like in Croatia, then we had a free hour or so to walk around the Park. It is a beautiful place, my camera did not get put away! After the national park our driver asked us if we wanted to go the scenic way back to Split, yes of course! Not disappointed the coastal road was gorgeous, lots of little villages and bays to come back and explore, next year?
Photos sorry are so out of order not coping we do the salute when leaving a port everyday, very entertaining to everyone else on the cruise!
