We stayed at Peter and Carolines to be ready for Boxing Day on Sydney Harbour to watch the start of the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.

Getting up reasonably early Boxing Day we all took off to drop Peter at Anzac Bridge at the yacht he was sailing on “Alive” , met a few of the crew, checked the yacht out and said our good bye and good luck to Peter.

We found a car spot near Darling point for breakfast and our ferry trip, what a spot and what a lovely day weather and company wise! After a great day which will stay with us for a long time, lucky to have spent it with two cool kids, we got dropped off at circular key we found the fast ferry to manly, where Kirstie picked us up, to take us to her unit in Colleroy, along the way showing us her favorite parts of town. Boxing Day dinner in Colleroy we met Liz, Jacks mum and spent a really nice night!

Next day was spent getting kirstie ready for her road trip to Byron Bay for new year. And checking out a few of the northern beaches spots and kirsties new place in Mona Vale. After Kirstie left we took off to Palm Beach and found a ferry trip up the Cowan Creek past Cottage Point to Bobbin Head, where we had lunch at the boat club. Today was over 40deg super hot no wind, but a good way to spend a day on the “Merinda II”

Home and Away!

30th December was a chill out kind of day, with a walk around the Collaroy golf course and chill on the beach.

31st December was a quiet day, cause I can’t remember what we did but we did have a quiet night at the Collaroy club on the beach, kinda like a beaches night, as in plenty of single ladies on the dance floor to an ultimate 70s band! Escaped quickly.

The next day with no hang over we planned to met Caroline, Peter and the boys at Cottage point in the morning. We had a really nice day Peter drove Jacks Van to Cottage point and we hired a tinnie to tour the river before lunch at the boat hire cafe.

Our last day we drove to Brookvale to catch the Postie boat for a trip on the Hawksbury River, which we enjoyed and hope to have a houseboat weekend one day!

The last day Jack drove us into the city to met kirstie who was back at work,  for lunch in the queen Victoria building with Tess.

And that was how we spent our Sydney Summer holiday😜
