The weekend wad free,  so off we headed to Cobram for the weekend, to stay at the RACV resort with our van. As we left early our first stop off the highway was Broadford for a coffee and sandwiches at a cafe.

Back on the road via Benalla and a random sign to Silo art we followed.

We stopped by the Goorambat pub for a quick drink and chatted with the publicans son for more information around the area. He turned out to be such a nice young guy, so on his recommendation we went to church!

Following the Silo trail next stop my favouriteAnother drink at stop 2 pub

This pub at St James is in the hometown of the first Coles supermarket. As we where there an artist was working on the other Silo, so its completely different now.

Arrived at the RACV Cobram and quickly set up, for Peter to get his Murray river fix before sunset, ahhhhh the Serenity with a beer of course!Saturday weather not great so we headed off for a drive to Strathmerton Cactus Country, thanks to some Instagram inspiration. We have driven past this place for years and never called in. A bit of fun walking around in a big sombrero hat acting like typical tourists.A few friends on the way out of Cactus country to say goodbye!

Back to Cobram for an afternoon Paddle Steamer cruise Peter booked the night before, very peaceful. Then a happy hour drink at the restaurant on the river bank which was really nice. The BBQ King for the night and our set up at Cobram. On our way home we stopped off at Benalla for lunch and a Street art tour, photo comp with each other, pretty impressive too.Kelpie one for John D, nice way to make some ugly flats look ok!
