Slow morning as we cooked breakfast on the Weber, before heading out on our morning walk today.
We walked through the Caravan park to the discovery trail along the coast. The first beach we walked down to was Workman’s Beach Tried to walk to the next beach via the rocks, a little to risky and bumped into a not so friendly snake which totally put me off going any further. Back on the track up the hill to Chinamans Beach headland – viewsSo after a fairly decent walk we where hanging for our long awaited coffee ☕️ at the Garden Cafe Could not Bloody Believe it’s Closed on a Saturday WTF!!!!☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️Was so looking forward to it nearly burst into tears, maybe a little dramatic. As we are looking a little disappointed a local lady pulled up in her car, as it’s in the middle of no where, asks us if we want a lift back into town, her healer dog is beside its self looking forward to a walk. So we piled into Dominic’s new bf’s car into the local coffee shop, thank you! X
After lunch today we headed off with Lisa and Roger to The Eurimbula National Park, to four wheel drive to Bustard bay – Creek. It was a pretty easy track in and a bit of fun.
We had dinner tonight at the cafe nearby Codie’s, really yummy Mackerel, my new favorite fish.
💡 Lights out in Grey Nomad land by 9pm, 🤔 are we really ready yet??????Saturday night!
Sunday the 9th of September
Market day at 1770, so after Peter had a swim and breakfast, I dragged him to the market. Nice market lots of fresh vege stalls, honey 🍯 and books, so bought up a few bits and pieces and met a few characters!
That one is for Sally as the music 🎵 thingi she loves.
Next stop in 1770 the Captain Cook monument And a bit of a walk before going down to the main beach, where Peter set up the paddle board and headed off.
After a beach session we called into the Lagoon’s Resort for a late lunch, very nice but no one else there.
For Helen!
I walked back along the beach to the caravan park which was really beautiful as the tide was right out. Lisa and Roger had gone to another beach down and had a massive whale 🐳 doing a private show for them, very envious!
Happy hour, Greg and his son called around, (Lachlan) lights out 8:30! 👵
