11 September positano to Rome near the airportLast breakfast at montemare said goodbye to our breakfast waitress, packed up and had our last shop.
Carlo from Ap tours picked us up for our train at 3pm. As the traffic is horrendous in Naples we left Positano well before, s we saw others jump out of cars on the freeway, running towards the train station. Naples train station is HORRIBLE, you have to have your wits about yourself at all times, even booked premium seats and still some looser grabbed our bags getting on the train and asked for money, happy to never return there. On the train as I write up my diary, got to love free champagne and snacks offered on the train! Next change over in Rome as we head to our airport hotel, to prepare to get back to reality. Got through our train transfers to Rome airport, shared a taxi to QC Terme spa resort, arrived around 5:30pm to An OMG moment, it’s stunning absolute old world class. I had read lots of not very kind reviews, wtf must be done very hard people out there and so glad I didn’t listen. Quickly we stripped off to our bathers and took off for the spa, it’s kind of like Peninsila hot springs, with out the hot springs, instead gorgeous garden alcoves also indoor Turkish baths,saunas,spas ect. Happy hour 6:30 til 9pm, pretty funny as this place is advertised as a wellness retreat, dress code dressing gowns, complimentry drinks and canapés, but at this wellness retreat everyone’s getting smashed and most smoking! After more spas, led shower with happy lights so so good, followed by a great nights sleep.
