As the weather forecast for the next couple of days and today was supposed to be the best day, we booked the ferry the night before to Capri. Breakfast before we left in the hotel and wow, views again down on Positano, Italian breakfast, is it ever to early for tiramisu?

Walked down to the ferry leaving at 9:15am which arrived by 10am in Capri, ridiculously busy little harbour as the ferries come in and out so quickly and it’s like an airport with different departure numbers. Found the funicular up to the town center. Took a walk to Villa Java and on the way an old man had a flat tyre on his little cart so Peter helped him change the tyre, which turned out to be great as the guy gave us a lift on the back up to the Villa. Yay for karma! The Villa is on top of the cliffs you see as your arriving by boat to Capri, its ancient Roman ruins with stunning views.

Mr fixit to the rescue

Walked back into Capri and drooled  over the boutiques and pretty restaurants, then spent he afternoon by the beach at a club called da Gemma. Our ferry left Capri at 4:25pm, back to Positano. Climbed the stairs back to our hotel to get ready for our 7pm pick up to La Tagliata for dinner.

Pre dinner drinks at our hotel bar, views, and a guy playing the sax ,cool music, pinch me moment again!

Our lift up to the gods, arrived what a ride up and up, on an incredibly winding narrow, hair raising road, to La Tagliata family run wonderful restaurant. Got this get a great table thing sorted as we had a great seat looking over Positano from way way up! Lightening show over the sea, too much food, Italian singing and one of there little bits of about five singing to. We felt like we where at someone’s party’s. The couple at the table forgot there camera so once again found some friends from Wollongong. Great night which we both will remember for a long time.
