Starting our morning on the hotel balcony overlooking the Trevi fountain, watching this mornings selfie shots going on, lots of laughs. Then down to attempt the selfie shots of our own, unfortunately it’s not our thing!

Trevi fountain, the Pantheon Peters favourite building in the world, then the Piazza Navona, coffee and the Piazza Camao De Fiori markets. Pizza at our favourite little spot near the coffee place. Back for a quick nap before our tour of Trastevere, at 4:30pm.

Turned the wrong way outside our hotel, so we hoped in a taxi to meet at the Piazza Farnese for the tour of Travesvere. It was a pretty good tour, started at a Bakery for pizza, then onto the Jewish Getto for the history and tomatoes, basil and forgotten the name of the fresh white cheese-risotto balls-zucchini anchovies thingy, onwards across the river into gorgeous Trastavere for pasta and wine followed by proper Gelati. Great little tour and if we where ever to come back to Rome, this is where we would stay.

We walked around Trastevere and found a gallery and bought two lovely prints of Tuscany, asked some nuns directions, who where so nice. Back into Rome spanish steps crawling with tourists and scouts as was the Trevi Fountain. It’s never the same next time, as Rome is having its issues with refugees, illegally selling stuff everywhere, and they are quite scary around the tourist hotspots. Retreated back to our hotel terrace over looking the crowds at the Trevi fountain for a night cap, and yes I met the chattiest chick in the place, I can pick em!
