30th June 2017
For our first Caravanning adventure we left home around 2pm Friday afternoon for the Inverloch RACV club. The only hitch along the way, was the tyre warning lights on the Ranger played up, so we arrived around 4pm at Inverloch. Not a bad place to start our adventures!
After we set up, we popped down the street to pick up a couple of things for dinner. Then had a quiet night in the caravan watching Game of Thrones for the first time, which was pretty huge for me, as I’m not into such violence. Nick had a laugh as the night of the 30th of June was the coldest night of the year, and yes we felt it too!
Saturday the 1st of July we cooked breakfast in the van and headed off to Koonwarra farmers market to stock up on some local produce. It was a cute little town I’ve always wanted to stop at, so we had a wander around the few shops and had coffee at a nice place in the gardens. We where really lucky as even though it was cold the sun was shining.
After lunch we decided to take a drive down to Wilsons Promentry, to take a look at the Caravan sites for next year. On the way down just before the start of the national park, we stopped to take a photo of the longest line of cows on the way to being milked, it was Huge!
Not much time down at Tidal River enough to choose a spot and book go next year!
Another night in watching more Game of Thrones, couple of wines and a very very cold night!
Sunday morning Peter cooked breakfast in the camp kitchen with all the fresh produce from Koonwarra, which was yumm! We packed up following our check list, checked out and left the caravan in the carpark, then went for a walk around the resort.
So that was our first fun weekend away at beautiful Inverloch!
