This morning we had breakfast on the back deck of the ship before leaving the cruise for Rome. Sad end to a fantastic 12 day cruise on the Celebrity Silhoutte, we’ve had a great time met lots of interesting people, lots of laughs and stories to tell. So we left the ship for our transfer to Rome at 9am, super excited to meet up with Kirstie, finally after her plane was delayed, she arrived at the apartment. We had a good catch up going over what she’s been up to for the past four months, and her go pro video amazing! She has had the most special experiences and met some new life long friends. After that the lady that owns the apartment came and went over the apartment then took us for a bit of a tour around the area, which is right in the middle of Rome 2 minutes to the Spanish steps ect, fantastic spot as it’s walking distance to everything we are seeing. Sabina also showed us places out of the way you wouldn’t find on your own. After that we went and had a bite to eat around the corner from the apartment at a little sandwich shop before a bit of a shop with Kirstie. After that Peter and I walked to the Vatican museum for the night tour, that started at 7-30pm for three hours.Heres some of the snaps I took along the way to the Vatican–
It was great to see at night as I think there was less crowds, but still lots of people with the same thing in mind (as in less crowds). It was another great tour, defiantly worth doing a tour to explain everything, my favourite was the maps hall.
After that we where pretty tired due to touring by day and partying by night, so we caught a taxi back nearby our apartment a little restaurant called Dilla for tea at 11pm! .
