After a late start, we decided to go for a day trip to Lucca by train, as the walks where to slippery today. Big effort to get there as there was a couple of changing stations. It was a really interesting train ride, as we saw a lot of the country side, Italian homes and their veggie patches also we now know where carra marble comes from! We arrived in Lucca around 2 so not much time to see, so we hired bikes just outside the railway station. This was the best move as you can ride around the wall of the town, which was so beautiful, I need to come back to!-
This dog was on our train, it’s really funny so many dogs every where we go trains and the restaurants!
The story behind the last photo is one of Peters clients told him to go to Lucca and he always give Peter the bird, so payback time! Got a good reaction by email!

Tonight we had dinner at another of Fausto’s recommendation’s Ciak. In the last photo we met Cloudio and Josie from Milan, who have been holidaying in Monterosso for many years and seen lots of changes! They ended up asking us if we wanted some of their food, so I did much to Peters disgust! Really lovely couple with two boys same as ours, one backpacking in Australia!
