This morning we got up early for France and went for a walk along the promenade up to castle hill, the views back to Nice and the other side stunning. Then we walked through the flower market in the old town, as they where setting up. Peter said it was his best market he has ever been to! Not only flowers, veggies, spices and home made everything, not long enough as Emmanuel serves breakfast at 9/30am. Super nice morning walk, lots of things to see through the old town! –
Hows this for a work vehicle, it’s a knife sharpening door to door service!
So that’s like 10am, Peter getting into the lift to the apartment, it was so cute and old fashioned, then onto breakfast with just a couple more girls! Hi to kritta, a lovely new friend! Xx And thank you again Emmanuel!
After breakfast we headed off by local bus No.81 from Nice to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, went to visit the very Shabby (not) Villa Ephrussi Rothchild, yep in in heaven!
Even Peter was blown away here, this house, garden, views and collections where stunning, beautifully looked after, the china collection you could spend hours looking at. Today was really sunny and hot, at the villa Peter bought me a lovely WHITE hat! So then after the villa we wondered over the road and found the locals beach, and as we’ve kinda been going for it, no time to sun bake, we hit this beach and Peter went in for a dip. He looks back. At me laughing! Why because absolutely everyone around this area has an amazing tan, I look like a an Albino glowing in a white fn hat, clothes on, as no one has even a one piece bathing suit on, it’s all hanging out! Yep I felt really not in place! By this time we found the bus back to Nice, slightly stuffed we enjoyed a vino on our very own balcony!
So that was Nice, the Gelato shop is the one to go to in the old Nice town called Fenochicio, so good Peter bought 2! Here I go again Love Nice and the surrounding villages, wish we had more time!
